Top 5 Travel and Local Apps in Slovakia Q2 2022

In the second quarter of 2022, the travel and local app market in Slovakia saw interesting trends across the top 5 applications, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these apps on a unified platform:

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, rising from approximately 3.6K at the end of March to about 6.5K by the end of June. This growth was mirrored in its active user count, which climbed from around 42.5K to just over 50.5K during the same period.

Ideme vlakom also showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at 1.7K at the end of March and peaking at approximately 3.1K in mid-June before slightly declining to around 2.7K by the end of the quarter.

Ryanair maintained a consistent weekly revenue of around $6-$8 and saw a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 1.6K in late March and reaching a peak of approximately 2.6K by mid-June, before settling at around 2.5K at the end of the quarter. The app's active user base also grew steadily from about 4.5K to approximately 7K over the same period.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker showed a solid performance with weekly revenue fluctuating between $579 and $1.3K. Downloads saw an increase from 1.7K at the end of March to about 2.1K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar trend, growing from around 8.9K to approximately 9.5K.

Google Earth saw a relatively stable download trend, with numbers hovering around 1.1K to 1.5K throughout the quarter. The active user base showed slight fluctuations, starting at approximately 8.3K in late March and ending at around 8.3K by the end of June, with minor peaks and troughs in between.
